In today's Agriculture Science, Plant Protection is a significant exercise. Not only in main agriculture or farming, but in all other related fields, like horticulture and floriculture, Plant Protection is required for the safe growth and healthy output. Plants are living organisms, belonging to the kingdom, Plantae. Precise definitions of the kingdom vary, but as the term: plants, include familiar organisms, such as flowering plants, conifers, ferns, mosses and green algae, but do not include seaweeds like kelp, nor fungi and bacteria, the group is also called green plants or Viridiplantae. Plants are one of the two groups, into which, all living things have been traditionally divided; the other is animals. Outside formal scientific contexts, the term plant implies an association with certain traits, such as being multicellular, possessing cellulose, and having the ability to carry out photosynthesis. Plant Protection strategy and activities have significant importance in the overall crop production programmes, for sustainable agriculture. Plant protection efforts aim at minimising crop losses, due to ravages of insect pests, diseases, weeds, nematodes, rodents, etc. This comprehensive study on Plant Protection, in an interesting manner, has culminated into a comprehensive, exhaustive and exclusive work on the subject. Beyond the normal parameters, it is bound to serve all the users.
